IR control helps integrate devices that do not provide a local IP API.
When to use IR
Section titled “When to use IR”- Legacy TVs.
- Projectors.
- Simple media devices.
- Air conditioners.
- Other remote-controlled equipment.
Setup basics
Section titled “Setup basics”- Confirm you have supported IR hardware.
- Add the IR device in Haptique OS.
- Select or learn the required codes where supported.
- Test each command.
- Assign the device to a room.
Reliability tips
Section titled “Reliability tips”IR often requires line of sight or careful emitter placement. Test commands from the real room position.
